"Being busy does not always mean real work. The object of all work is
production or accomplishment and to either of these ends there must be
forethought, system, planning, intelligence, and honest purpose, as well
as perspiration. Seeming to do is not doing."
- Thomas Alva Edison
I was born in Detroit, Michigan, in the United States. My
mother is a teacher and my father is a psychologist. I have
one brother, and a little dog named Peanut.
But you're not here to read about that.
In this section, I'd like to introduce you to my work history, to some
of the jobs I've had, some of the projects I've worked on, some
of the decisions I've made, and some of the accomplishments I've achieved.
I've worked for companies large and small, on technologies that are modern
and ones that are now obsolete, and I've learned a lot from some very smart
people.
My intention is to give you some concrete examples so that you can judge
for yourself how I might be of value to your business.
This is what I consider to be some of the most
fun and/or challenging projects I've worked on, and it may get technical
pretty quickly - so be warned.
Sometimes it's not the expertise in a particular field that makes the
difference, it's the out-of-the-box thinking and experience with similar
problems that end up being the path to a good solution.
